The tooth is out

On Wednesday I had my appointment at the hospital to have my tooth removed. I woke up at about 4am and couldn’t get back to sleep. I don’t know if it was because I was worrying about the appointment or unrelated but by the time my alarm went off at 7.15am I was already exhausted. I had a bit of a nightmare morning. First of all Big Fella kicked off because his school trousers weren’t dry (he had two other pairs he could wear but he doesn’t like those ones and insists on wearing one pair every.single.fucking.day). I thought Hubby was on annual leave but he had to get some emails done so hadn’t fed the dog and my toilet is still broken which as I’m sure you can understand with IBD is a bit of a nightmare.  Anyway, I took the kids to school, dropped the dog off at Doggy Daycare and went home. I was meeting a friend at 10.15 to go shopping for a wedding outfit and when I saw her I ended up just crying. I think having a crap morning, being knackered and also really apprehensive about the to

Week in Cheshunt

This week has been busy. On Tuesday I went down south to where I used to live and stayed with Bestie. We had tickets for the Ideal Home show at Olympia on Wednesday so I decided that instead of just going down for the day I would turn it into a little holiday and use the time to catch up with people that I hadn’t seen since PC (pre-covid).  On Tuesday I went with her to pick up her youngest two from primary school and we had to nip to the shops to get stuff for dinner. While driving there we saw the big two walking home from secondary school so stopped to pick them up. At the shops we decided that I would do some baking with the kids so they all picked a baking kit (and a few treats from Aunty Nat). I have to say that the Asda baking kits were bloody awful- we got the little two the dinosaur and unicorn biscuit kits but all you got to make them into unicorns or dinosaurs was a stencil on the inside of the box that you had to cut out! Not sure how little kids are supposed to use that as

Finally getting my tooth fixed

I had an appointment at the hospital yesterday to see the dental surgeon. I actually thought I would have to wait much longer but after my recent infection my dentist rang the hospital and chased things up.  Before my appointment I went up to F22 to speak to the nurses on the ward. I wanted to ask the ward sister to chase up my clinic appointment with Dr P so I can start the treatment plan Mr E told me that St Marks had suggested. But I also wanted to let them know that over the last couple of weeks I’ve started to feel pretty crappy again.  I was last discharged from hospital 2 days before Christmas and in my eagerness to get home I left without getting a follow up appointment in clinic. The first 6 weeks of the year I’ve been the most well I’ve been for probably the last 2 years but the last 2 weeks or so I’ve started to struggle. I’m going to the loo a lot; sometimes every half an hour which is giving me a really sore bottom. I’m struggling with pain, fatigue and nausea and I’m real
