Vege no bowels

I've had a lovely weekend back in Hertfordshire visiting friends. I was supposed to go to St Marks in Harrow on Thursday but I was still in the middle of an energy hangover from Mondays trip into London for the pain management course and was struggling to get out of bed so I cancelled it. It's meant that aswell as having to rearrange that appointment I didn't get to see one of my dearest friends Kitty as I had planned to stay with her on Thursday night. And to top it off  my roots are still awful because I had to cancel the appointment at the hairdresser too! I had planned to spend a few hours in the salon on the Friday getting spruced up and relaxing. Never mind. I have yet to find a hairdresser in Nottingham and it's not really at the top of my to do list at the moment so it looks like the roots will be staying a while longer. If I leave it long enough it might become trendy. Mmmm. Maybe not.  I had arranged meet ups with the kids old school friends and their mums on

LINK pain management programme

Last  Monday was the first session of the LINK pain management programme at UCLH. I had to be up at the crack of dawn to catch the train from Nottingham to London and I was even up early enough to see Hubby before he left for work so it must have been proper early!!  After getting dressed I finished packing my case then did the kids packed lunches to save my parents a job. They're looking after the kids as I'm staying overnight at Bestie's to break up the journey. Plus it's my god daughters birthday so it was perfect timing (the return train fare was soooo much cheaper on Tuesday morning than Monday evening but don't tell my god daughter that- it's totally about her birthday!)  I decided that I couldn't be doing with having to catch a bus in the dark and then having a 10 plus minute walk to the station so instead I treated myself to a cab. When it arrived Big Fella suddenly got all upset and clung to me begging me not to go. I think that he gets frightened

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! 2016 has arrived (admittedly some time ago but hey! I'm doing my best!) As the hours in 2015 were coming to an end I sat down and thought about what I wanted to get out of the coming 366 days (it's a leap year!) Here's what came to mind... ✏️✏️ 2016 AIMS ✏️✏️ ▪️ To lose 2 stone by eating a better diet and starting to do some exercise ▪️ No more eating things that I know will upset my belly   ▪️ No eating after 8pm to begin with, moving to 7pm to rest my bowels and hopefully improve my sleep.  ▪️ To see my Bestie and her family in person once a month and to work hard at maintaining other friendships, especially with my Southern friends  ▪️To visit our friend in Germany  ▪️ To join rock choir or another type of social group with a view to meet new people and enjoy myself  ▪️ To write a blog post at least once a week ▪️ To have a date night with Hubby once a month ▪️ To have the annual Meadowhall trip in November 2016 with C, L and J and at least one other get
