Happy New Year! The shit show that was 2021 has finished and 2022 is here. I’ve not posted for a while cause as usual my health has been up and down. On my good days I’m trying my hardest to spend time with Hubby and the kids and then on my bad days I’m in bed. Since the start of the year the good to bad ratio has been about 50:50 so that’s given me plenty of time to binge some box sets. Here’s what I’ve been watching… Dopesick: Disney+ This series is bloody amazing! It’s based on the book by Beth Macy and uses the stories of real people to show how the opioid crisis in America was created by Perdue Pharma when they invented and marketed OxyContin. I found it incredible that this pharmaceutical company told so many lies and exploited so many vulnerable patients just to make more and more money. Life's not been easy since losing my large bowel in 2009. Technically I didn't lose it in the same way you might lose your phone or your wallet- it was removed in an emergency operation after my bowel perforated due to Ulcerative Collitis. Since then I've been on a journey to get back to normal and still don't quite seem to have made it.
